This is Alice

This is Alice. One of my volunteer jobs is being a Deacon at Church. And the nine Deacons share visitations at the local Nursing Homes in town. We also visit foks who aren't able to get to church for health reasons. While I was visiting with a woman last month, she had just completed this knit blanket out of scraps of yarn and she asked me to give the blanket to someone who might need or want it. I told her I had just the woman in mind - Alice. Alice never had children. Her husband died before she did, leaving her all alone. She didn't grow up locally. I don't even know if anyone visits her other than the Deacons and Minister from our church. She loved her blanket. One of the aides was going to touch the blanket and she pushed away her hand. I can't wait to tell the woman who knit the blanket how much it was loved.
