Mary Ann Lehman was 19 years old when she and Robert August Ludwig Wagner married in Montgomery, Minnesota on May 29th, 1949. Robert had been discharged from the Navy and they were both attending Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa where they met. The story goes that Mom attended Wartburg because her older brother Bill attended Wartburg. It was told to me that Dad used to eat Uncle Bill's cookies that my Grandmother sent him and Uncle Bill was not too happy about that. There is probably more to the story. Acutally, there is probably more to many stories about when they were younger..... I'm not sure how she met Grandpa Bob, but she did. And they eventually fell in love and were married. Now it's 62 years later, 5 Children, 10 grandchildren later and they're still hanging in there. Congratulations Robert and Mary Ann!!!
