These knit mittens got a blue ribbon. I made these too. I was happy with my two blue ribbons. The quilt competition was tough. There were a lot of quilts. 
I entered the Radiant Star Quilt in the fair, too but it didn't get anything - no ribbons. 
I knit this hat and it received a Blue Ribbon at the Itasca County Fair. I was pretty happy about that.
